Off Grid

Off Grid Solar PV and battery systems are systems that do NOT require any grid electricity supply for them to operate. They are totally 'Stand Alone' and can be used almost anywhere.

Single Phase and 3 Phase systems

Examples of use for these Off Grid PV systems would typically be any area that requires an electricity supply but is not in proximity to the National Grid or does NOT want to be connected to the National Grid.

A system that is Off Grid relies entirely on the solar panel produced electricity. There is no mains connection to the National Grid, they are totally ‘Stand Alone systems’

Electricity that is produced by the solar panels that is not used immediately by the premises is stored in the batteries.

The batteries then become the only source of electrical energy once it is dark and the solar panels are no longer producing electricity.
